Spains largest pipe distribution group created

Almesa, a company specialized in the commercial distribution of steel pipes and metallurgical accessories, has announced a merger by absorption of all its subsidiaries; Grupo Apro, Almesa and Tubonor. Tisw has created the largest Spanish distribution group (Almesa) of stainless steel and carbon pipes and accessories for fluid handling, with estimated annual sales of more than EUR 40 million.
By operating as a single company, the objective is to provide the entity with the most efficient resources to be a leader in distribution in Spain and to be among the top ten players internationally
Almesa has expanded its international presence in recent years by collaborating with major Spanish engineering companies on international projects in the sectors of water treatment, paper and energy. Its international projects currently account for 20% of its business at present and it hopes that this figure will reach 30% by the end of the year.
The main markets in which Almesa will be involved will be water, paper and energy infrastructure in countries such as Spain, Senegal, Cuba, Kuwait and France.
Almesa plans to continue growing through new acquisitions, mainly in international markets, in order to offer a better service and value to all its customers.
